Tanjung Jabung Barat, 4 December 2024 – PT Inti Indosawit Subur (PT IIS) and PT Dasa Anugerah Sejati (PT DAS), business units of Asian Agri, received awards at the Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum 2024 on December 3, 2024, held at the Tanjung Jabar Regency Office Meeting Hall. The forum was organized by the Tanjung Jabung Barat Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) under the theme ‘Synergy of Partnerships and Cooperation between the Business World and the Regional Government in Building a Prosperous Tanjung Jabung Barat’.
In his opening remarks, Tanjung Jabung Barat Assistant for Economy and Development, Firdaus Khatab, said, “We appreciate the companies that have contributed to the development of Tanjung Jabung Barat through their Corporate Sustainability Responsibility (CSR) programs.”
Furthermore, the Acting Head of Bappeda Tanjung Jabung Barat, Feri Nofrianto, explained that the purpose of the event was to realize synchronization, coordination, and synergy between the business world and the regency government in the planning and implementation of CSR programs. He also continued on the importance of synergizing the policies and strategies of stakeholders, namely the business world, the community, and the regional government, to create harmony.
The CSR Forum itself has always been a reference for companies to align their CSR programs, PT DAS Public Relations, Joko Rianto, stated, “The company has an important role to play in building Tanjung Jabung Barat together. We, from PT DAS, will always support the development agenda that has been drawn up by the Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency Government, both in terms of social, economic, education, health, infrastructure, and the environment.”
Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Asian Agri Jambi CSR, Rudy Jasthon, hoped that the CSR program, which is always in sync with the CSR Forum, is expected to not only have a positive impact on the surrounding community but also contribute to sustainable development. He also explained that the CSR program can indirectly support the local government’s program in increasing community independence, as well as serving as a means to build and maintain good relations with stakeholders and ensure the smooth and safe operation of the company.
