Tanjung Jabung Barat, 5th September 2024— To commemorate the 57th anniversary of Royal Golden Eagle (RGE) or RGE Founder’s Day 2024, Asian Agri, through its business units across North Sumatra, Riau, and Jambi, has organised a range of social initiatives. These activities align with the company’s 5C philosophy, which emphasises that a company should create value for the community, country, climate, customer, and company.

One of Asian Agri’s business units, PT Dasa Anugerah Sejati (PT DAS), celebrated RGE Founder’s Day 2024 by conducting tree planting and river clean-up activities in Merlung Village, Merlung District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi.

“In celebrating RGE’s 57th anniversary, various social initiatives aligned with the 5C philosophy were conducted throughout Asian Agri’s operational regions. On this special occasion, PT DAS and all its staff participated in planting tree seedlings and cleaning the Pengabuan River in Merlung Village. We hope that these activities will benefit the local community and all of us,” said PT DAS Group Manager, Johannes Halomoan Hutabarat, during the tree planting and river clean-up event on 3rd September.

Meanwhile, the Merlung District Head, Yenni Warni Putriyati Rosa expressed her appreciation for PT DAS’s care in conducting the tree planting and river clean-up activities.

“On behalf of the district, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to PT DAS Group – Kebun Taman Raja, for planting tree seedlings and cleaning the river in Merlung Village. These tree planting activities have provided us and the residents with valuable trees. This greening initiative also serves as a positive example for our community. Our goal is to address waste issues in Merlung Village effectively, and the district as a whole, by promoting a habit of disposing of waste properly and fostering environmentally-conscious mindsets. We hope this programme will continue beyond a one-time event. Once again, we thank PT DAS, and we hope the benefits are long-lasting,” said Yenni.

In addition to the river clean-up and tree planting, all Asian Agri business units have undertaken various other activities in their operational areas, including free health check-ups, educating schoolchildren on forest and land fire prevention, and beach clean-up activities in Jakarta. These initiatives have continued from August through September 2024 across North Sumatra, Riau, and Jambi.
