Kampar, 16th August 2024 – Amidst the lively celebrations of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Tunggal Yunus Estate – Kampar mill (PT TYE-PKR) provided supplementary food aid to children in Kuapan Village, located in the Tambang District, Kampar Regency, Riau (15/08/2024). This initiative reflects the Company’s commitment to children’s health, particularly those affected by stunting.

Tambang Subdistrict Head, Jamilus, expressed his gratitude to PT TYE-PKR for its concern for the health of village children, especially those suffering from stunting.

” PT TYE-PKR, though newly established in this area, has already taken the initiative as a foster parent for children affected by stunting in pursuit of a golden generation. The aid provided includes milk, rice, vitamins, and eggs. This sets a precedent for others, demonstrating that the stunting reduction programme requires collaboration from various parties, particularly from the business sector,” he remarked.

Separately, PT TYE-PKR Manager, Mario Anggriawan Tjuatja, explained that this charitable act was carried out in conjunction with the Healthy Walk Event in Tambang District as part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations.

“Kuapan Village directly neighbours the new Asian Agri mill, Kampar mill (PKR), part of PT TYE. Under the supervision of Tambang Subdistrict Head, PT TYE-PKR, in collaboration with Tambang Health Centre, will provide monthly assistance for the next six months to two children affected by stunting,” he stated.

Mario further elaborated that PT TYE-PKR is deeply concerned about the presence of stunted children in Kuapan Village. “We hope that by becoming a foster parent, we can assist the Kampar Regency Government in accelerating the reduction of stunting rates,” he explained, accompanied by PT TYE Public Relations Officer, M. Sofyan.

M. Sofyan noted that the provision of aid was made possible through the support of the local government. “This aid materialised thanks to the strong communication between PT TYE-PKR and the Kampar Regency Government. We hope that this good communication can continue to be enhanced so that the Company’s presence can bring meaningful benefits to the surrounding villages,” he said.

A beneficiary in Kuapan Village, Ella Kastuti, the mother of Suci Humairah, expressed her gratitude to PT TYE-PKR and the Tambang District Head for their concern for the village children. “We hope that the mothers in this village can continue to receive guidance to better care for their children so that they can avoid stunting,” she said.

PT TYE-PKR’s charitable action took place at the Tambang Subdistrict Office, attended by Tambang Police Chief, AKP Asril Syahputra, and Kuapan Village Head, Limasnus.
