Tanjung Jabung Barat, 18 October 2024 – PT Dasa Anugrah Sejati – Kebun Taman Raja (PT DAS-KTR), a subsidiary of Asian Agri, has donated educational and economic aid to the residents of Kampung Baru Village, Batang Asam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The handover ceremony took place at the village office.

In his speech, Group Manager PT DAS, Johannes Halomoan, said, “This program (providing educational and economic assistance) is carried out yearly, and today we are handing it over to Kampung Baru Village. The AA2030 program is part of Asian Agri’s commitment until 2030 in order to providing assistance to its communities, and we sincerely hope that this aid reaches its intended target. We thank all the managers, teachers, and related parties for their cooperation in advancing our village. For the children and business owners who receive this assistance, we hope they will be grateful and utilise it to the best of their ability.”

On this occasion, 12 educational packages were distributed through the Bag-To-School program, with a breakdown of 6 packages for elementary school students (SDN 166/V Kampung Baru), 3 packages for junior high school students (SMP 03 Tungkal Ulu), and 3 packages for senior high school students (SMKN 09 Tanjung Jabung Barat). Asian Agri provided tangible support for children’s education by handing over complete packages containing quality school bags, stationery, and learning books.

In addition to providing educational packages through the Bag-To-School program, Asian Agri also provided development for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Prior to this, the company conducted a socialization program on how to find commodities that suit the market according to the village’s potential, as well as knowledge of business strategies for Kampung Baru Village. The company also assisted in the form of 6 goats and materials for building a goat pen to facilitate organized feed management.
