[Tribun Medan] Asian Agri Conduct Anti-Drug Counseling among Students

In order to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of Indonesia, Asian Agri with its subsidiary PT Supra Matra Abadi (SMA) conducted school roadshows to educate children on the dangers of drug use. 

The road show theme was ‘Indonesian Young Generation, Free from Drugs’. The program came as part of Asian Agri’s corporate social responsibility program, and included a poetry competition and caricature drawing contest. 

Friendky Rumahorbo, PT Supra Matra Abadi Manager, said that Independence Day should be celebrated with positive activities, and keeping the young generation free from drugs is a good example. “Our target is junior high and high school students around our company. The bad effects of drugs have spread everywhere that is why PT SMA did the drugs counseling to some schools, to prevent drug use among students.”

The anti-drug socialization was delivered by Iptu Murniati, Head Unit of Guidance and Counseling, who discussed the law around drug abuse. Information on health was delivered by Helena, Amd from Public Health Office.
