Asian Agri is one of palm oil companies that stays alert and be prepared to anticipate potential risk of forest and land fires despite Covid-19 pandemic. This message was conveyed by HSE & CSR Head Asian Agri, Welly Pardede in a webinar on forest and fire control training. The training was held by Asian Agri in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Directorate General of Climate Change Control and Climate Change, Forest Fire Control Agency of Sumatra Region and Manggala Agni for Siak regional operation. “Amid this Covid-19 pandemic, we need to be creative so that all firefighters team can work optimally in forest and land fire prevention particularly within the company’s operational area”, Welly said.
The webinar attended by 60 firefighting personnel of the companies under Asian Agri in North Sumatra, Riau and Jambi Provinces. Operation Head of Manggala Agni SUM VI-SIAK, Ihsan Abdillah together with the Manggala Agni Siak Team and Hafiz Hazalin Sinaga, Manager of the Free Fire Village Program (FFVP) of Asian Agri, were present as the key speakers in the webinar training on forest and land fire control.
