Asian Agri organized a Fire Fighting Team (RPK) to extinguish the fires that occurred on residents’ peatland oil palm plantations in KM 10 corridor, Langgam precisely, in Rantau Baru village, Pangkalan Kerinci Subdistrict, which occurred on Wednesday (21/09/19).
RPKs from surrounding districts, such as Buatan, Siak Regency, were deliberately brought to the location to increase the power to put out the fire. Public Relations Manager of Asian Agri Group Regional Riau, Ahmad Taufik, said that the burnt land around the company’s area is an oil palm plantation owned by private communities, farmer groups and vacant land.
