[METRO RIAU] ASIAN AGRI PARTNER SMALLHOLDERS GET BILLION FUNDS FOR REPLANTING

Partnering with Asian Agri, oil palm smallholders who are members of the Sumber Bahagia Cooperative in Silukuan Hulu Village, Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency ready to carry out replanting, marked by the symbolic felling of the oil palm on July 1, 2020.

There are 422 hectares of oil palm plantations which will be replanted with Topaz superior palm seeds. Asian Agri through its business unit, PT Inti Indosawit Subur – Ukui Plasma Plantation supports this program.

The first phase of the replanting receives the replanting fund of Rp. 25,000,000 / Ha from the Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund Agency (BPDPKS), or the total fund of Rp. 10. 250 billion to cover the 410 Ha of replanting area.

According to the Chairman of the Sumber Bahagia Cooperative, Vincent Jado, the oil palms have reached 30 years, so this is the right time to do a replanting. “At present, from the 422 Ha of the replanting area in partnership with PT. Inti Indosawit Subur – Asian Agri, , about 410 Ha get the fund from the Indonesian Oil Palm Estate Fund Agency (BPDPKS)”, he explained.
