The occurrence of forest and land fire (karhutla) incidents in Jambi Province encouraged Asian Agri to hold a Fire Aware Community counseling to build early awareness on the importance of preserving the environment while preventing the forest and land fires to the alpha generation.
The Asian Agri forest and land fire prevention ambassador event took place at SDN 10 / VIII Tuo Sumay, Sumay District, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province on October 18, 2019.
Students in the villages around PT Rigunas Agri Utama, Asian Agri’s oil palm plantation company, were very enthusiastic in following the knowledge and introduction of forest and land fires, aware of the environmental benefits and keeping efforts to maintain the healthy environment, which is part of Asian Agri’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
