Through Asian Agri’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, residents of Tambak Village, Pelalawan, Riau now have 5 bio-flock fish ponds containing 1200 tilapia fish seeds.
Head of Asian Agri’s CSR, Welly Pardede hopes that the presence of this pool can increase a side income for the youth organizations. “The Tambak Village Youth Group will be an example for other villagers, if they are successful in managing this fish farm. This initiative also drives their enthusiasm and creativity to build a more developed village,” said Welly.
GM PT MUP, Herman Sembiring, explained that this CSR program to improve community welfare, in line with government programs.
