Since 2017, Asian Agri, an oil palm plantation company operating in 3 provinces, namely North Sumatra, Riau and Jambi, has introduced the Sustainable Palm Oil School, which is part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Until now, the Sustainable Palm Oil School program is continuously carried out by Asian Agri for the education improvement. In the Sustainable Palm Oil School program, young people who are still attending school are given good knowledge and technical education of oil palm cultivation that is good and true according to company standards.
The Sustainable Palm Oil School Program is gradually entering schools in relations to Asian Agri companies, both in North Sumatra, Riau and Jambi.
This time, the Sustainable Palm Oil School program through PT Inti Indosawit Subur (IIS) Artificial Gardens, one of the Asian Agri business units chose SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci, Pelalawan Regency, Prov. Riau, to introduce oil palm cultivation on November 19, 2019.
