Hallo Riau, Pekanbaru – In preparation for the dry season and to prevent forest and land fires (karhutla), Asian Agri conducted a Fire Readiness Drill and fire prevention training at the Balai Adat Segati Village field in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency, on Wednesday morning (3/7/2024).
Representing the local government, Zulfan, Head of the Pelalawan Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), expressed strong appreciation for Asian Agri’s efforts in preventing karhutla in the Pelalawan Regency. The Fire Free Village (FFV) programme, born out of Asian Agri’s commitment to its ‘no-burn’ policy since 1994, has been in operation since 2016.
