Jakarta, 15 June 2016 – In supporting government’s effort to keep food prices under control before Lebaran, Asian Agri offers 10,000 liters of cheap cooking oil during the first three days of the Trade Ministry’s Bazaar, which starts today.

Cooking oil brands, Camar and Harumas in 1- and 2-liter package, are sold below market price at Rp 9,000 per liter during the bazaar. Asian Agri rolls out this program as part of its corporate social responsibility, aiming at the public in general and the Trade Ministry’s employees who need cooking oil during the fasting month and Lebaran.

After opening the bazaar, Secretary General of Trade Ministry, Srie Agustina, visits Asian Agri’s booth to symbolically receive free cooking oil for the ministry’s 700 employees. She then handed three packages of cooking oil to three employee representatives as Acting Director General of Domestic Trade Ministry, Suhanto witnessed the ceremony.

Freddy Widjaja, Director of Asian Agri said, “Our participation shows Asian Agri’s real commitment to help people who need cooking oil with affordable price, and support government programs to meet the increasing needs of people for basic commodities ahead of Lebaran.”

Out of 13 mills have received certification from ISPO (Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil where as the remaining mills have gone through stringent ISPO audit process. It is targeted to have both RSPO & ISPO certification completed by 2015
