Ukui, 5th September 2024— In celebration of the 57th anniversary of Royal Golden Eagle (RGE), known as RGE Founder’s Day 2024, Asian Agri, through its business units across North Sumatra, Riau, and Jambi, has conducted various social responsibility activities. This aligns with the company’s 5C philosophy, which emphasises that the company’s presence should bring benefits to the Community, Country, Climate, Customer, and Company.

PT Inti Indosawit Subur – Ukui Estate (PT IIS – Ukui), one of Asian Agri’s business units, participated in the RGE Founder’s Day celebrations by organising tree planting and river clean-up activities in Air Hitam Village, Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau.

“The Founder’s Day today’s event is part of a series of activities to mark RGE’s 57th anniversary, and this year’s theme focuses on Preserving Environmental Sustainability. As such, all employees of PT IIS – Ukui took part in planting fruit tree saplings on vacant land along the riverbank. We hope that this initiative will provide fruit for the local villagers while also maintaining the river’s watershed and preventing erosion along the riverbanks,” said Victory Brahmana, Group Manager of PT IIS – Ukui.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to PT IIS – Ukui for planting fruit tree seedlings along the riverbanks of our village today. We will ensure the proper care and maintenance of these plants in the hope that they will flourish, creating a green environment and, one day, yielding a fruitful harvest. We also congratulate the company on the 57th Founder’s Day celebration and wish it continued strength, growth, and success. We are confident that a thriving company will bring positive benefits to us all,” said Dedeng.

In addition to river clean-up and tree planting activities, all Asian Agri business units have carried out various other initiatives across their operational areas, including free health check-ups, educational sessions for school children on preventing forest and land fires, and beach clean-ups in Jakarta. These activities have been taking place from August to September 2024 in North Sumatra, Riau, and Jambi.”
