Smallholder Inclusion for Improved Livelihood and Empowerment (SMILE) has resulted in favourable outcomes for autonomous smallholders. The advantages of this method include the ability to boost palm fruit FFB output and profitability. Khairul Anam, Chairman of the Tebing Tinggi Prosperous Consumer Cooperative (KKTTPS), Tebing Tinggi Village, Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra, is one of the farmers who has profited from the programme. “I would like to thank the SMILE programme for assisting us,” he stated.
