[SUMUTPOS] ASIAN AGRI NORTH SUMATRA DISTRIBUTES FOOD PACKAGES TO 25 VILLAGES TO WELCOME CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR

Celebrating Christmas and New Year, Asian Agri North Sumatra region distributed 965 food packages to the community. The food packages were distributed through Asian Agri Plantation units to 25 villages located near the company’s operations. The assistance is intended for people affected by Covid-19, especially for the needy people.

On the previous occasions, Asian Agri through PT Gunung Melayu and PT Saudara Sejati Luhur also handed over 190 food packages which were distributed to 3 villages, namely Gonting Malaha Village, Sidomulyo Village and Batu Anam Village. There were management representatives participated in the handover of assistance, namely the Manager of the Central Garden, Sabam Nadapdap, Manager of Kebun Aek Tarum, Jetro H Damanik, Public Relations of PT GM / PT SSL Agus S Batubara, and the Asian Agri CSR Coordinator for North Sumatra, Aris Yuneidi.

Aek Tarum Plantation Manager, Jetro H Damanik said that the Covid-19 pandemic affected the community’s economy so that it is hoped that the assistance provided by Asian Agri can ease the burden on the community, especially for those who celebrate Christmas and also in the context of welcoming the new year 2021.
