Hundreds of thousands of personal protective equipment (PPE) were given by Asian Agri to a number of public health centers located in three provinces, consisting of North Sumatra, Riau and Jambi, where Asian Agri operates.
It is known that a number of positive cases of exposure to Covid-19 have occurred. In this situation, Asian Agri provides health workers with PPEs to protect and prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The handover medical masks, protective coats, thermo guns, glasses and gloves to the Ujung Padang Pubic Health Center, Ujung Padang District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province was held on August 31, 2020. According to Head of HSE & CSR Asian Agri, Welly Pardede, Asian Agri had done a lot with the aim of protecting the public from the virus outbreak. “The PPE assistance is distributed in the company’s operational areas. We hope that the health workers will be protected from the virus while on duty,” he said.
