Asian Agri and its business units in North Sumatra, Riau and Jambi provinces continue to undertake preventative measures to protect their operation from fires.
One of its efforts was to hold a safety briefing with local authority of Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency, on August 5, 2020 at PT Mitra Unggul Pusaka (MUP) area in Penarikan Village, Langgam District, Pelalawan, Riau.
The briefing session organized by Asian Agri with the Health Protocol for COVID-19 was appreciated by the Head of Langgam Sectoral Police, Ipda M Fadlillah S.Trk. “We appreciate and give honor to PT MUP – Asian Agri, for its preparedness in anticipation of drought and fires”, Fadlilllah said.
The Head of Langgam Sectoral Police encourages all stakeholders to conduct regular patrol on daily basis, particularly in fire prone areas. “We have to continue socialization of fire prevention to build public awareness”, he stated.
The fires prevention is the collective responsibility of all of us, government, military and policy, companies and community.
