The development of the sustainable palm oil industry was the main discussion in a speech from the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, conveyed by the Director General of Plantations, Dr. Ir. Kasdi Subagyono, M.Sc. at the 62nd Plantation Day Commemoration in 2019.
The event was done at the Polbangtan Campus, Malang, East Java on Tuesday. The Director General of Plantations presented a number of awards in the field of sustainability and the efforts of regional leaders, farmers and companies to improve the competitiveness and production of plantation commodities in Indonesia.
The award was given to PT Inti Indosawit Subur (Asian Agri) for its commitment to increase production and sustainable plantation development.
