A total of 259 residents of Tebo Regency received free medical check-ups organized by Asian Agri last month, in commemoration of Tebo Regency’s 18th anniversary.
The activity, which was held in collaboration with the regency’s local health office, is part of Asian Agri’s commitment towards public health around the company’s operational areas.
Andensius Tarigan, who was speaking on behalf of Asian Agri CSR Management, said that Asian Agri is always committed to supporting government programs, particularly those aimed at improving communities.
“Our concern is reflected in the form of these free medical check-ups which are aimed to benefit the community,” Andensius said.
The villagers who received the medical check-ups came from two villages within Tebo Regency: Tuo Samay Village and Teriti Village.
According to Andensius, the two villages were selected because they were near to Asian Agri and they either had a direct or indirect relationship with the company.
Tuo Samay Village Head Masfuat (who was speaking on behalf of the residents from both villages) expressed gratitude to Asian Agri for its continuous extension of CSR assistance to the said communities.
“It wasn’t only this year that we have received assistance, as the company has previously contributed in terms of infrastructure, education and community empowerment. We hope that the company will continue to assist our residents in the years to come,” he said.
