PT Dasa Anugrah Sejati (DAS), group of Asian Agri’s biogas power plant receives Environmental Award from Jambi Governor, Zumi Zola. The award was handed over by Governor Zumi Zola to Hartanto, Asian Agri SSL Coordinator at the World 2017 Environment Day Celebration in Jambi Governor’s Office, Sunday (23/7).
The biogas power plant helps local people to have access on electricity. It has distributed 600 KWh of electricity to PLN Tanjung Jabung Barat. Asian Agri has disbursed a substantial investment around 4.7 million US dollars per unit. Asian Agri currently has 7 units biogas power plant and is projected to increase to 20 units by 2020.
Helsin Sinuraya, PT DAS Palm Oil Factory Manager said that the biogas power plant is one of Asian Agri’s commitments to the community and country.
